Dr. Mary Joy Abit is a weed scientist in the institute. Her research interests include herbicide physiology, herbicide resistance, integrated weed management and application technology. 
Asst. Prof. John Bethany Macasero is a plant pathologist in the institute. His research interests include plant disease epidemiology, disease mapping and forecasting and disease management. 
Asst. Prof. Jose Emmanuel de Luna is an entomologist in the institute. His research interests include insecticide toxicology, ornamental entomology, medical and veterinary entomology, urban entomology and One Health.
