Los Baños Adventist Elementary School students visited Institute of Weed Science, Entomology and Plant Pathology (IWEP) to experience basic crop protection skills and compentencies.
The students were acquainted to different insects related to agriculture and were exposed to simple methods of disease diagnosis. Weeds were also presented to bring appreciation on the relevance of unwanted plants in agricultural settings. The IWEP Urban Pest Management Team also discussed some insect pests affecting domestic areas.
