Agriculturists from the Bureau of Plant Industry-Crop Pest Management Division visited IWEP today for a short training on mango cecid fly identification. They were taught by Dr. Celia Medina, our mango pest expert, on how to properly identify the immature and adult stages of the three mango cecid fly species that are recorded in the country.
Dr. Celia is joined by IWEP Entomology faculty members (PA Rejuso and RJDJ Enabore), and researcher (BP Novio).
